A great team display with the goals coming from Mark Clerkin and Ryan Connors.The senior team lost to Glenties 2-17 to 2-8. An early Eoin Scally goal gave Dungloe the lead but Dungloe trailed by 2 at the break. Glenties pulled away in the second half and came out victorious in the end up.Dungloe G.A.A. are now taking applications from members for tickets for the Tyrone game in Ballybofey on Sunday the 17th of May. Dungloe put the weather to the back of their minds to take the lead early on with 2 fine goals and a number of excellent points through some excellent runs and playing of the ball. A much slower second half saw Dungloe fall behind and eventually lose by 2 points. Final score Dungloe 2-5 Cloughaneely 3-4.The U12 girls took on Glenswilly in a very low scoring match with an excellent display of football. The teams went in at 0-1 a piece at half time. Glenswilly broke the deadlock in the second half and came away with a win on a score line of Dungloe 0-1 Glenswilly 1-2.U14 hurling leagueDungloe/ Gweedore 3.8 Carndonagh 1.1We edge closer to making the “A” section with a good win over Carndonagh in Carndonagh. Dungloe backs were on top and good ball to the forwards with improved forward play saw good scores from 6 different players. James Hartnett scored a cracking goal with other goals from Dillon Dwyer and Martin Mannion and then Owen de Burca, Michael mc Nulty, Daithi Roberts, Michael Green and James Hartnett getting some lovely points from play. The team was Jaimi Doherty. Aidan Breanna, Gavin Mc Cole, Eamonn mcGarvey, Lochlainn O Dea, Noah Boyle, Brendan Boyle, James Hartnett, Odhran Mcgonagle, Eoin de Burca, Daithi Roberts, Martin Mannion. Subs used, Joe Doyle and Michael Greene.Next game at home at 6.30 v Setanta on Thursday 7th May.Donegal hurling development squad:The U14 hurlers beat Antrim and Tyrone with Odhran Mcgonagle, James Hartnett, Brendan Boyle and Martin Mannion all playing.
