The Crimson Tide were without a key contributor for at least part of the session.According to AL.com’s Matt Zenitz and TideSports.com’s Ben Jones, Alabama running back Josh Jacobs missed the open portion of today. Jacobs had participated in workouts the previous two days.Jacobs could have returned for the part of practice that isn’t open to the media, but there isn’t a way to confirm that as Nick Saban won’t speak to the media until Saturday.More news on Jacobs’ absence could emerge before then though.Alabama RB being led by Brian Robinson, Najee Harris, etc. Damien Harris was being stretched out on the sideline. *NO SIGN OF JOSH JACOBS* @CABCPod pic.twitter.com/ma3ARxBFTR— Cj Dew (@dewthedewby) January 3, 2019Jacobs has rushed for 593 yards and a team-high 11 touchdowns this season. He ran for 98 yards and caught a receiving touchdown against Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl last Saturday.Again, there might not be any reason to worry about Jacobs yet.
