HANTS COUNTY: Highway 101 Highway 101, between exits 3 and 4, near Ellershouse, will havelane closures for repaving from Tuesday, June 29 until Saturday,July 31. Both directions of traffic will be affectedintermittently. Traffic control will consist of traffic controlpersons. Work will take place between 7 a.m and 9 p.m daily. Motorists areadvised to use Trunk 2 between exits 3 and 4 to avoid the workzones. COLCHESTER COUNTY: Highway 102 Two sections of Highway 102 will have intermittent lane closuresuntil Tuesday, Aug. 31. Traffic travelling in northbound laneswill be affected periodically while repaving is carried out. Workwill take place daily between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Section one begins 1.3 kilometres north of Commo Road, nearStewiacke, and stretches 5.3 kilometres to Shortts Lake RoadMultiplate, near Brookfield. Section two begins from the north side of Robie Structure, nearTruro, and stretches 3.4 kilometres to the intersection ofHighway 102 and Highway 104. Traffic control will consist of signage. Motorists are asked touse extra caution while driving in these areas. Maximum load width at the bridge will be 4.3 metres. Widervehicles are advised to take an alternate route. Traffic control will consist of flashing light units and signage. KINGS COUNTY: Highway 101 Overpass The Highway 101 overpass at Exit 14 at Coldbrook will have one-lane closures from Monday, June 28 to Saturday, July 31. Closureswill be in effect 24 hours a day as road crews carry out bridgerepairs. One lane will be open at all times. Traffic control willconsist of traffic signals. The closure willbe in effect from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. while the Canterbury Bridgedeck is replaced. Detours will be in place on Crowell Road andRoute 207 in Porters Lake. Traffic control will consist ofsignage. HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 101 The ramp onto the Trunk 1 underpass structure off Highway 101 inLower Sackville will have a lane closure 24 hours a day untilWednesday, June 30. Road crews will be carrying out bridgerehabilitation work. Traffic control will consist of barrels andbarriers. One lane will remain open at all times, but motorists mayexperience delays and are asked to use extra caution when drivingin this area. A detour is available via Mountain Road or Louisville Road. Signsare posted indicating alternate routes. CAPE BRETON COUNTY: Highway 105 Full-lane closures will take place on Highway 105 between GrovesPoint Road and the Highway 125 interchange, near Halfway Road,until Wednesday, June 30. Both directions of traffic will beaffected periodically while road crews carry out cold planing andasphalt paving. Most of the work will take place at night,between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. weekdays, and between 7 p.m. and 9 a.m.weekends. Alternate routes will be available for local traffic only viaRoute 305 or the Georges River Road. Traffic control will consistof traffic control persons. Motorists should expect short delays during these times and areasked to use extra caution when driving in this area. HANTS COUNTY: Elmsdale Bridge Elmsdale Bridge on Trunk 2 between Elmsdale and Lantz is closeduntil September 2004. INVERNESS COUNTY: Cabot Trail (Trunk 30) One-lane closures will take place on the Cabot Trail, Trunk 30,until Wednesday, June 30, for repaving work. Closures will beginat Point de Havre Road in Cheticamp and extend north to the CapeBreton Highlands National Park. Closures will take place weekdays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Bothdirections of traffic will be affected periodically. The closures begin 800 metres west of Exit17, near Valley Cross Roads and extend 5.5 kilometres easterly tothe Manganese Mines Overpass. Traffic in eastbound lanes will beaffected and lane width will be reduced to 4.5 metres in the Exit17 area. Road crews will be carrying out repaving and structuremaintenance between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. daily. Traffic control will consist of signage. Motorists are asked touse extra caution while travelling in this area. INVERNESS COUNTY: Grand Etang Bridge The Grand Etang Bridge, between Margaree and Cheticamp on theCabot Trail, will have a detour for heavy trucks until furthernotice. The detour is available on Pembrooke Lake Road andCarding Mill Road. The weight restrictions are posted and vary depending on thenumber of axles on the truck. HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102 The Highway 102/Trunk 2 Interchange, at Exit 5 near Fall River,will have lane closures until Friday, Oct. 1. Road crews will becarrying out interchange improvements between 6:30 a.m and 7:30p.m daily.
